This criterion is linked to a Learning Outcome Description of meeting (must include business items discussed)
Describe the professional meeting attended. Include the name of the organization and the date, time, and location of the meeting. Include the purpose of the meeting and a brief description of the meeting activities (make sure to include the business items on the agenda). Be SURE TO INCLUDE a list of business items addressed at this meeting: a report was provided on some topic, a report on a recent event which had 46 people in attendance; awards given or received by members, research grants awarded by organization or to organization members, a discussion about consideration of an event they will possibly sponsor, etc.
This criterion is linked to a Learning Outcome Describe how this organization fulfills its obligations as expressed in the ANA Code of Ethics Provision 9. Look at and make reference to how the organization meets SEVERAL if not EACH element of the provision – this should be 2-3 sentences at least.
This criterion is linked to a Learning Outcome Present idea clearly, using proper grammar and spelling. Paper length is single-spaced may be a page in length, if double spaced the paper might be 2 pages in length. These numbers do not include a cover page or references page if those are included. References are not required. However, if you pull a “direct quote” from a source, that reference must have the appropriate APA “in-text” citation as well as a reference in a reference list. If those APA rules is NOT followed for a “direct quote”, this rule infraction is considered plagiarism. However, try and interpret and state ideas in your own words. Paraphrase and still provide the citation. Interpreting in your own words is always preferable unless you really must use a direct quote. And try and keep those short. Ensure your “in-text” citations follow APA rules and that your Reference Page also follows APA formatting guidelines. Font size should be 12 – that is a good standard size to use. Use a standard Arial, Calibri, or Times Roman font. The number of pages is an approximation and the amount of elaboration/detail is left to each student once the main points are covered.
