on this discussion board, I would like for you to choose a character from a book, movie, or TV show, and describe that character using a developmental theory framework. Your chosen character can be examined with developmental concepts such as Baumrind’s parenting styles, Ainsworth’s Attachment Theory, Erikson’s psychosocial stages of development, or Kohlberg’s theory on moral development, which were all presented in this week’s video lectures.

Initial Post

Your initial post will have two parts.

1. First, choose one of these frameworks and briefly explain its components: Baumrind’s parenting styles, Ainsworth’s Attachment Theory, Erikson’s psychosocial stages of development, or Kohlberg’s theory on moral development.
2. Then, describe how the development of your chosen character was impacted either positively or negatively within that framework. For example, did the character you chose have a parent who displayed a particular parenting style? If so, was the effect positive or negative? Or, did the character show evidence of a particular attachment style? Maybe you will address one of Erikson’s 8 stages that was or was not successfully resolved by the character or a moral dilemma that was faced.

The net result will be an analysis of social/emotional development of the character using one of these developmental frameworks. Have fun with this discussion!
