Coun 380 Theory Exploration paper #2

This paper is to encourage students to develop a deeper understanding of counseling theory, techniques and greater self-awareness. For this paper, students will discuss how they would apply any 3 of the following approaches: Behavior, Cognitive behavior therapy, Choice theory/reality therapy, Feminist therapy, postmodern approaches and family-systems therapy) to their lives. For each approach, students will select three concepts (either theoretical or techniques) to each of those approaches with specific examples from their own life and how it would be helpful.
Be sure to present a professional grade paper in APA format (see video on Titanium) that is grammatically correct with no spelling errors. You are expected to use the book as a resource, resources other than the textbook are optional, must be cited. Please use headings/subheadings for each of the theories.
Paper will be 4-6 pages. We will go over the paper in more detail during class. You will be graded on using 9 concepts and applying them correctly to your own life experience. Challenge yourself to apply these concepts to a deeper authentic self. This paper is meant to help you see how theory and therapy can be applied and beneficial to your own life. You’ll also be graded on grammar and mechanics, APA and page requirements (Intro, conclusion, page limit and discussing the theory prior to going into the concepts).

Examples to Use: resentment towards maternal figure, dysfunctional family hierarchy, not being afraid of the past, how to better live in the moment, etc
