Part I. Submit Conflict Proposal of 3 potential environmental conflicts (20/100 pts)
Due on Canvas by 11:59 pm Sunday, September 27th.
Make sure your name is included with the title on the first page. List and describe the 3
environmental conflict scenarios in order of preference that you feel are good candidates for a
detailed conflict assessment and resolution planning. For each of the proposed conflict
scenario include the following elements:
1. Title/Name of conflict scenario
2. Type of scenario, i.e. action, project, regulation, venture, emergency response,
management plan, land-use, etc.
3. Location of action
4. Time frame of the conflict.

5. Degree of resolution of the conflict, i.e., escalating/unresolved, ongoing/partly resolved,
re-escalated/new resolution needed, or other
6. List of conflict scenario documents available. Include one paragraph summary
description of the environmental conflict and stakeholders and any other documents
such as maps, photos, and data that are available.
7. Source of documents. Provide web link URL or where you will get documents from (e.g.
interlibrary loan, local newspapers, etc.)
8. Explanation of why you chose this environmental conflict to evaluate.
Be brief, clear and concise. Expected length is around 1-2 pages of written text per conflict
scenario. You may use the numerical order 1-8 above as sub-headings.
