They suggested that you review a social media app that a young teenager would likely come across and want to use. They wanted you to find a newer app or one that Generation X is likely to be less familiar with. Because Generation X still has children who are teenagers (and sometimes younger teenagers), the editors at Christianitytoday.com hope that a review about an unfamiliar app will pique the interest of GenX readers.

As you know, you’ll need to consider a variety of parameters to write your review, so you’ll need to draw on your skillset from English 105 to complete this assignment.

You might consider the following questions for the purpose of planning your review:

· What is a review? What tools will you use to find out what a real review looks like?

· Who is your audience (What does Generation X think about tech, apps, their children and teens, etc.)?

· What are their concerns about apps?

· What skills have we practiced that can work the best?

· How can you adjust your message to fit your audience’s needs?

· What arguments might you make and how can you use the strategies from our argument types to make them?

· What impression(s) would you like to convey about the app, teens, parenting, or other related issues?

· What seems to be a typical range of length for a review designed to be read thoughtfully online? (Consider the samples we have read, and not reviews like those on Amazon.com.)

· And so on.

Remember: the assignment is not to write about the above questions. The assignment is to write a review.

Your entire review should read like and look like a real review. That includes formatting and layout. As necessary, adapt skills we have been practicing in English 105 regarding recurring occasion, content, structure, and style.
