This will be a different kind of assignment. I want you to utilize lots of critical thinking skills. I want to know what you are thinking, how you analyze a business decision, how you do research on a stock, and how well you can record this information. Make these good!!!

Please discuss in at least a one-page document (can certainly have more pages) which stock or stocks you have chosen to invest in and why. Don’t do mutual funds–we will cover that next week.

Give me some background information on the stock and include the following:

· Why you have chosen this company

· Dividends paid by the company

· How well has the company done over the past one-year, three-year, and five year time spans?

· What is the market risk for this week?

What has just happened to the DOW jones Industrial average for the week (yes, you need to google this to read more about it). Did the market go up or down?

What is the beta of this stock?

Is this a blue chip, growth stock, tech stock?

If the market suddenly dropped 5000 points, would you sell your stock?
