Select an article that is not more than 2 months old (from the presentation date) from a reputable news source (ex. Wall Street Journal, CNBC, Financial Times, Fortune, PBS, the Economist, NPR, Time, Harvard Business Review, The Washington Post, BBC, New York Times, Reuters, Fox News, CNN, etc.) If your article’s source is not listed above, please confirm the article with me first. You will need to include a link to the article you present with your 2 page typed summary. MUST FIND THE ARTICLE ABOUT MANGAMENT WHICH CONFLICT: A clash between individuals or groups because of different opinions, thought processes, and perceptions.

2. On the day of the class, please provide a 5-minute presentation to the class 1) summarizing the article and 2) explaining how it relates to OB. It might be important to put a news story in a broader context, or indicate how it is relevant to what we are covering in class. The use of slides and visual aids are strongly encouraged.

3. Please submit a two-page document on the day you present where the first page is a 1-page summary of the article and the second page is a 1-page discussion of the article’s relevance for OB. These must be turned in on the day of your presentation by the start of class.

4. Refer to the grading rubric on Blackboard for this assignment to earn full credit. Please also refer to the Assignment Formatting section of the syllabus.

5. These presentations will be scheduled for the beginning of class, so you must be on time to class to receive full points. Please treat this like a presentation to your future manager or client. Thus, re-scheduling your date will result in a 5-point grade deduction per each instance (with the exception of university-approved absences or documented illnesses/family emergencies by the Dean of Students/Student Affairs Office).
