Meditation

Choose a topic related to meditation that interests you. Develop a research question on that topic. Next, do some research to find out what experts say about it. Then, decide what YOU think about the topic, based on what the experts say. Finally, prepare an essay with an original thesis that supports it with discussion of your research and the components of effective argument. Your essay must
clearly state an original position related to meditation (thesis statement),
be a minimum of three full pages and a maximum of four (not including Works Cited list),
build an argument for your position that is reasonable, sound, valid, and persuasive,
provide specific evidence from sources that pass the CRAAP test,
explain how the evidence supports the argument,

focus on your argument about the research (because your sources cannot make your argument for you!),
avoid spending too much time on background info,
organize ideas logically,
communicate clearly and without errors,
emphasize your own words (using more paraphrase than quotes), and
follow the formatting instructions below.
Formatting:
You must cite your sources in proper MLA format, using in-text citations in the body of the essay and a Works Cited list on the last page of your essay.
You must type your assignment.
You must double space and use 12 point, Times New Roman font. Do not add extra space between paragraphs.
You must use a one-inch margin all on all sides of the document.
You must save your assignment as a Word document (.doc or .docx file).
