Writing an Evaluation Paper

Grading Rubric:

· Introduction paragraph – 10 points (Overall summary of your paper.)

· Personal evaluation – 70 points (Your own writing explaining your opinion of your chosen topic. Small quotes to prove your point.)

· Conclusion paragraph – 10 points (Summarize the point of the paper.)

· Bibliography – 10 points (Correctly cited sources that are used in your paper. This should be a list of the quotes used in your paper.)

Note:

· Minimum length 5 Pages not including your bibliography. Font size should be a maximum of 12 point and double-spaced.

· The formatting for the paper should be MLA style.

· You will be required to use Turn It In when submitting your paper. I would like for you to come in with no more than 10% similarity. If you go over that number reword terms or make sure you have correctly quoted your sources or plagiarism can result in a 0 on the paper and a failing grade in the class.

· The term paper should your own wording, please no big block quotes. All sources should be in quotation marks.

· Use good sources – no Wikipedia. Here is a site that may help with sources.
