Develop a plan for inquiry research

Description

Twelve common strategies for collecting data in the classroom are outlined in Chapter 4  (chapter 4 attached) of your text. As you read the chapter, think about and take personal notes on your responses to the following questions: Which teacher-researcher data collection strategies do you think are the easiest to incorporate into your teaching? Which teacher-researcher data collection strategies do you think are the most difficult to incorporate into your teaching? How might these strategies be adapted to offer a better fit into your teaching? Data collection for classroom inquiry is important to think about in terms of availability, access, and the results the data could provide to you. One strategy presented in the chapter used literature as a data source. Understanding previous research about your topic of interest helps the classroom inquirer develop a background framework and points to additional research questions to consider. For this task, conduct research on the topic you have selected for this course. Then, review a minimum of five research articles or abstracts, and then write an essay that addresses the following: Describe the topic you selected and are considering for your inquiry. Summarize each of the five research articles related to your topic. Include an overview of the topic of the article, the research method and data the author used in the study, and the findings of the study. These are summaries and not an annotated bibliography. Compare and contrast the knowledge gathered from these five research studies to the information you have planned for your inquiry. Then, think about the following questions: Are there similarities among the groups being studied? What about the data collection process in the previous research as it compares to your planned inquiry topic? Length: 5-7 pages, not including title and reference pages References: Minimum of five scholarly resources.
