Deviance and Racism in African American History

ONLY USE THE SOURCES I HAVE PROVIDED. The central focus and line of inquiry for my paper will be about deviance and racism in African American history. Deviance is one concept that has had a historical and significant place among minority populations in our country. My research paper primary will enable me to understand better, how deviance was developed within the African American population. My research paper will provide an insight into how these social constructs affected and continue to affect Black people in America. Discussing deviance and its effects, is a vital part of the country’s historical past and present. Some questions I am interested in critically examining are: How do the paradigms of sociology relate deviance to cultural values/norms and moral values? How do we apply critical race theory to these paradigms? How does the concept of deviance serve as an amplification of bias and racial stereotypes, which often create a basis for terming black populations as more criminal?
