Have you ever looked online for something you wanted to buy or do and see offers for package deals? In a package deal, multiple items are offered together for a single price. Maybe you’ve also seen these offers on television or in newspaper flyers. Do these offers save the consumer money?  For this project, you will analyze a package deal of your choosing. First, you’ll use the Internet to collect data about the package and the items it contains and decide whether you will purchase the items online or in a brick-and-mortar store. Then you’ll construct and interpret a table and perform calculations to compare the cost of purchasing the items in the package individually or as a bundle. Use the Internet to find a set of items that can be purchased both as a package and as individual items.  Package deals may also be referred to as bundles. Many types of items, and even services, are sold as packages. Electronics and appliances are commonly sold this way. There are also vacation packages … even a vacation meal plan is a type of package.  You can choose any type of item. (But do not use the same item that’s in the sample project.) You must decide whether you would buy the item online or at a brick-and-mortar store. If you decide you would buy it online, you must research the shipping costs. (Note that many online companies offer free shipping.)  The package you select must contain at least five items.  You may have to go to multiple websites to find the prices of the individual items in a package.
