What is the scope and significance of the problem? Identify the guiding research question. What are the variables being studied, and how are you defining them?  Instructions For this assignment, refer back to the research problem and question you submitted in Module One. This week, submit a short paper that discusses the research problem and question you have selected for your Final Project. Discuss an overview of the problem, the scope and significance of the problem as well as the connection between your research question and the problem. Include the variables and define the independent and dependent variables. Remember to use APA format. Assignment: You will submit your objectively written short paper using the required APA style format  Do not use personal language such as “I”, refer to the professional writing tips attachment and the announcement, “Objective, Scientific Writing in Healthcare Research” for guidance. Furthermore, I created the Module 3 short paper template with red colored font areas as guidance to help you cover the key points. Be sure and remove the red colored font areas on your final short paper copy. This short paper needs to discuss the following in the body of the short paper objectively & scientifically: What problem will you be addressing in your integrated review? What are the scope and significance of the problem? Identify the guiding research question. Share your PICO!  What are the variables (independent and dependent from your PICO) being studied, and how are you defining them? Items to include in your short paper— This paper, you need to identify and define the independent variable (IV) and dependent variable (DV) in your PICO. Furthermore, the classification of the Independent (IV) and Dependent (DV) Variables in your PICO helps guide your research studies searches and selections and the overall integrated review. Again, I stress, the independent variable in the PICO is the Intervention (I) and the dependent variable is the outcome of interest (O) of the PICO. What keywords and combinations were used in your searches? Which were the most effective? Explain why these keywords and combinations provided the most useful results. Explain how you used MeSH terms. Which healthcare electronic evidence-based databases were searched (such as Medline/PubMed, PubMed Central, Cochrane, CINAHL)? Not the general library or google or google scholar.  Why were these databases chosen for your PICO research? Assess the characteristics that make these databases the most reliable for your integrative review (remember to give an overall of each database characteristics). Remember these are the key steps in an integrative review for your short paper: Background. Introduce the topic of interest. Discuss the significance of the problem to healthcare administration. State the PICO and why this is the focus of the review. Identify and define your independent variable (IV) and dependent variable (DV) from the intervention type PICO, Aim. The aim is to conduct an integrated review of the literature and synthesize research studies of XXXX (topic) to validate a XXX program at XXXX. Design and data sources. Systematic literature searches from XXXX healthcare evidence-based databases (e.g., Medline, PubMed, Cochrane, CINAHL) of these years XXXX for previously published peer-reviewed studies.
