M1 Discussion 1 – Ethics in Social Psychology

Please watch the video entitled, “Quiet Rage: The Stanford Prison Experiment”.  Based on this video, the content guide on Ethical Principles in Social  Psychology, and the information in chapter 2 of your textbook on APA ethical principles please answer the following questions in your main discussion response:

1. Evaluate this infamous study using one of the selected APA ethical principles in your textbook.  Make sure to indicate which principle you are using.
2.  Do the benefits to science and humanity that this research has given us warrant the harm to the participants?

3. Now, redesign the study while following the APA ethical principles.  Share the new design in your discussion.
