DO NOT answer multiple questions from the same category or answer more than four (4) questions total. When applicable, your answer should address women of varying race and/or class, and should be grounded in historical context, even if historical context is already provided for you in the question. You do not need to rewrite the question. Instead, please provide the number of the question you are answering next to your response.
Each question is worth 25 points for a total of 100 points. Incomplete answers will result in partial credit. If you have further questions about the final exam, see the Final Exam FAQs.

Can I submit more than four (4) exam questions?
No. You must select and answer only (4) exam questions. If you submit additional exam questions, I will only grade the first four.
Do I have to include specific dates?
To the best of your ability, you must include specific historical context in each answer, even if I have already provided you with historical context in the question. As an example, if I am asking you to explain something that happened in the 1920s, somewhere in your answer you should include “the 1920s”, or “the Roaring 20s”, or even the early 20th century. Make sure that I know that YOU know what time period you are referring.
Do you give partial credit?
Yes. In terms of points, it’s better to submit four incomplete answers than only two perfect answers. Answer the exam questions to the best of your ability and, assuming you aren’t totally off the mark, you’ll likely receive at least half credit.
Can I answer more than four (4) questions and have you pick the best four to grade?
No. As I mentioned above, if you submit more than four questions I will grade the first four and then move on. Don’t waste your time answering more than four questions.
How long do my answers need to be?
In general, I grade for content and not length. That said, depending on the question, your responses should be at least a paragraph long.
Do I need to provide citations for my answers?
No. I’m assuming that you are using either the textbook or lecture materials to answer the exam questions. As such, citations are not necessary. However, if I find that you have submitted plagiarized material from outside and/or Internet sources, you will receive zero on the exam.
Can my answers be submitted in bullet points, compare/contrast boxes, Venn diagrams, etc?
No. Your responses must be in complete sentences.
Do you take off points for spelling and grammar?
No. I’m grading for content, not grammar. If there are significant grammatical/punctuation errors on your final exam that prevent me from understanding what you are saying, I will contact you directly for clarification. But as a courtesy, please make sure your final exam is proofread and legible.
