Description
Venous return is a process where your left ventricle contracts and forces blood into your arteries. In the capillary’s, oxygen is extracted in exchange for carbon dioxide. After that, the veins carry the CO2 to the lungs to be expired in a place with fresh oxygen (Matte 2021). Blood vessels and the heart are composed of muscle, therefore when they aren’t used or exercise properly, they can begin to become weaker and not perform as well as they would being well exercised (Matte 2021). When venous return is restrained, the left ventricle acquires less oxygenated blood, then resulting in a low-end diastolic volume. When EDV is low, the ventricle cannot stretch and stretching is crucial for getting a strong blood pump and contraction. When coupling that and a weak heart muscle, it becomes challenging to get all the necessary to the body (Matte 2021). During exercise, the rhythmic pump of your muscles aids venous return by demanding blood through the one-way valves that lead to the heart. By using your lungs more frequently and exercising them, it can create more thoracic pressure that draws more blood to the heart (Matte 2021). Increasing end diastolic volume, increasing the size in contractile strength of the heart muscle, and by increasing total blood volume or are all important things the heart inquires through exercise that helps venous return (Matte 2021). For maximum heart health, the American Heart Association recommends 150 minutes per week of moderate exercise like walking or biking. Or 75 minutes per week of hard exercise like heavy weightlifting, or sprinting/running. A combination of those two things is good as well (Matte 2021). It is important to know that stress and unhealthy eating are other factors that can be detrimental to your heart health, so watch out for those things as well. Sorenso, you need to be more careful with your in-text citations. There is quite a bit of material in your first post and your second reply post that should have been cit ed. If you wish to ask me to go over those posts with you and I’ll show you where you need citations. Like I have said they are very strict when you get into your core classes. Some of the papers can be worth a good portion of your grade and not having them formatted right will lead to a much lower grade then you want. Again just ask if you need more help.
