  4. Using information from the text, class lectures and discussions and other sources, explain the history, advantages and disadvantages of Black History Month, Hispanic Heritage Month and Women’s History Month. Make an argument as to whether you believe they have been beneficial or detrimental to American education. Support your argument with evidence from the text and course material.
  5. Does increased use of technology increase literacy and other educational opportunities? How might Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Rush, and Noah Webster reflect on using technology as part of the educational process? For what reasons? What concerns, if any, would they express? Make sure to base your opinions on evidence from the text and course material.
