Case Study #1 Question
case study response should begin with your opinion/solution of/perspective on the issue(s). Assume I already know the details of the case studies (I assure you, I do). Please remember – critical thinking means responses that begin with “I think…”, “I believe…”, “In my opinion…”, etc…. In other words, do not waste time (and points) telling me details from the case study that add no value to your response or to your grade.
The Case Studies will be delivered in a Word document (not a PDF) with 1 line spacing, 11 pt. font, with underlined or boldface headings and subheadings, and numbered pages (2 pages in length – any less will be rigorously evaluated). The file name must contain your name and uploaded into Canvas.
These are the instructor’s notes. I chose to answer question number 2 but im not sure which leadership style that is. Please read the pdf provided, as it’s the reading material for this assignment

Goleman outlines 6 leadership styles in his study.
1) Pick one or two of the six that you have used in past experiences (professionally or personally) that you feel the most comfortable with and describe the situation(s).
2) Pick one of the six that you have experienced with a leader (with you in a follower role) and please describe.
The coaching style?
I have worked at many places, ranging from fast food, retail stores, and banking. Most of the places I have worked at, the management used the coercive style. I feel that the do what I want style does not work well with me. I think this style works well with robots. When I get hired and trained, they tell me what to do. However, later on, I need to develop myself, I need to be creative, and I need someone freedom to do that. When I started working at FirstBank, I realized their management style is coaching. This worked perfectly for me. I feel like I could develop. I think in the workplace we are all adult, and we don’t need a babysitter. We can’t develop if someone keeps telling us what to do, we need to take control and be in charge or ourselves. Managers are there for support, we should be our own leaders. ??
Remember the qualities of effective leadership when you relate your narrative.
