20 pts. Current and immediate problem or a developing problem involving GLOBAL HEALTH. Paper MUST pertain to Global Health, not just the United States. Can use several countries with comparisons and involve the United States in the comparisons. You can choose a topic based on (1) a disease or health condition, (2) political situation(s) affecting health in a particular global location, or (3) you can choose your topic based on country.

10 pts. Length of paper: 6-8 pages, double spaced. Title page, Topic Paragraph (abstract) and Reference page do not count toward total pages.

10 pts. References: At least 5-6 peer reviewed research resources cited.

10 pts. Topic Paragraph (Abstract): Explain or identify topic of choice; can give rationale for selection. Body:

30 pts. Explain the problem you are researching and include demographics or the country or region being discussed. Present peer reviewed research information related to problem.

20 pts. Present suggested solutions to the problem as determined by your research. You can either identify and defend which solution appears to be best suited to the situation or, you may include a personal reflection paragraph instead of the suggested solutions. You may include both if you wish.
