This assignment focuses on a humanistic stance towards interpersonal relationships and neurobiology. To complete this assignment, be sure to have fully read A General Theory of Love (Lewis, Amini, & Lannon, 2001). For the first portion of the paper, you will discuss what you have learned from the book. For the second portion of the paper, you will discuss current research findings. Please organize your paper in the following manner:

1. Introduction paragraph with purpose statement

2. Overview of interpersonal neurobiology

3. Overview of limbic resonance, limbic regulation, and limbic revision from the book (Lewis et al., 2001)

4. Updated research on limbic resonance, limbic regulation, and limbic revision (citations within past 5 years)

5. Relevance to humanistic psychology

6. Conclusion paragraph

I recommend you start this paper early in the semester so that you have sufficient time.

Due at the end of week 12. This paper should contain a title page, body, and references (in APA style). An abstract is not needed. The title page and references do not count towards the total number of pages for the paper. Make sure you have at least 8 full pages (not 7.5 pages, etc.). Cite at least 5 primary sources from respected peer-reviewed journals in addition to material from your textbooks. Be sure that you are utilizing scientific/academic writing throughout your paper. Do not use the first person point of view (in accordance with APA style), or share personal opinions or experiences. Instead, focus this paper on synthesizing the empirical literature.
