PT Management of Chronic Pelvic Pain

What does the evidence say about the role of physical therapy in chronic pelvic pain? What types of interventions should we be using to treat this patient population (is this like low back pain in that it would be appropriate to subcategorize into treatment based classifications and what might those be? Please specifically address what a biopsychosocial approach would look like in this population)? What does the evidence show (or not show) about appropriate frequency and duration of physical therapy management of patients in this subgroup?
