This is for my Women and Gender Studies class. I will copy and paste the instructions below.

      1. In a paragraph, summarize the non-textbook reading. A summary does not include your ideas or comments. It’s a summary of the exact main points made by the author.
      2. In a separate paragraph:
        • Explain the author’s main argument and provide an example of a point they made to support their main argument using a quotation.
        • Explain why their argument is important and analyze how the quotation informs the argument.
        • Form you own opinion about the argument and how it is relevant to American society.
        • Explain how knowing what you just learned fits into your understanding of gender and how it impacts people in today’s society.
    • Citations: in-text citations for
      1. Textbook readings: put the chapter title in parentheses at the end of the quotation, outside of the quotation marks.
      2. Non-text book readings:
        • Use the author’s name in the sentence with the quotation.
        • Put the page number one which you found the quotation in parenthesis at the end of the quotation, outside of the quotation marks.
