Environmental Communication reading reflection

A. Submissions should be double-spaced, in 12-point font, have one-inch
margins, include page numbers top right, and be no more than 2 pages total.
B. Cover ALL the week’s readings in those two pages; this is an exercise is being
concise and, in the process, in crafting and exhibiting clear comprehension.
C. Write in your own words at an advanced (postgraduate) academic writing
level. When you quote or paraphrase assigned readings or additional
resources, you need to cite, using APA citations in text and including a
reference list. Your reference list will not count against your two-page limit.
D. Required format for the assessment is outline form as follows and MUST
contain:
a. A listing of EACH reading:
i. Below each listing, in one sentence, concisely present the reading’s
main argument/big lesson/major intervention.
ii. Below main argument, use dot points to concisely outline (and
exhibit your understanding of) the main sub-points or moves in the
reading that support its main argument. Keep to 2-5 sub-points.
b. Put ALL the readings into conversation with each other:
i. Using 2-5 dot points, explain how all the week’s assigned readings
main arguments interact with and/or build on each other and how
this interaction provides insights into main themes of this course
and/or theme of that week.
c. APPLY the readings to the world:
i. Using 2-5 dot points, apply the readings’ main arguments to a
specific ecocultural or environmental issue you are familiar with.
This is your spot to reflect on overarching insights the readings
bring to lived environment-and-society experience and practice.
Rubric feedback: Marks are in the form of component-by-component
qualitative-quantitative rubric-based feedback that you will be able to call up , see in Turnitin once your assessment has its mark. These are useful
feedback guides for learning what you need to work on to improve your
assessments each week. The rubric will provide scores on:
i. Accurate Identification of main argument/big lesson/major
intervention of each reading.
ii. Accurate Outline of major points or moves of the main argument
of each reading
iii. Clear Analysis of how the readings engage with each other.
iv. Apt Application of readings to lived experience or practice
v. Clean Writing style and expression, including proper grammar,
spelling, citation
