( The Dream Catcher program was a greatopportunity for reflecting on myself. It helped me reflect on my future goalsand prioritize them. For instance, my prior goal of going to NOVA communitycollege for an associate degree shifted to getting an admission at GMU to getan undergraduate degree. Being part of the Dream Catchers. motivatedme to review and align every opportunity for self-development and to keep themomentum, routine, time management, and to continue setting up new short-termgoals. Things such as time management with full time school, two jobs, andpersonal struggle of being a solo caretake for my dad, were a great effort.However, being in a positive environment and sharing my dreams with other DreamCatchers, impacted my self-talk which changed from I am so tired and stressed,to I can do it, like I have been able to manage it all. the positive andmotivating self-talk started becoming an automatic habit Gradually butundeniably. Being part of the Dream Catchers was aprogress which enhanced my self-esteem. Though, I had mentors who definitelyimpacted my energy level but I started noticing how I could be a good mentor tomyself who was focused on a progressive enhancement.)
