Safety Policy Statement Using the guidance outlined on page 122 of the course textbook, develop an original 75-word lean-focused safety policy statement. Use your own words. The policy statement should focus on management involvement rather than the typical management commitment statements found in traditional safety policy statements. It should state your philosophy of a lean approach to leadership and how it contributes to a world-class safety culture. 

Include at least the following in your safety policy statement:

  Include management involvement.

  Include lean concepts. 

The purpose of this assignment is to provide you with an opportunity to describe your own philosophy of using lean concepts toward a world-class safety culture. With enough practice and an appropriate amount of editing, a safety policy statement might be a good item to discuss in an interview. Plus, if you are ever asked, you will be ready to describe your philosophy.
