Compare two plays that we have read (see below). Choose a single line or sentence from each play, one that stands out for some reason as greatly important. Perhaps they state a theme, reveal a character, or serve as a crisis (or turning point). Write a response in 100 words demonstrating the importance of each line, including how they function and why they are necessary. Provide the full titles of the plays in italics and the full names of the playwrights.

Introducing and Citing Drama: SEE TOPIC SHEET. Page numbers should follow the quotes for all non-verse plays. A verse play uses a closed form, such as blank verse which is unrhymed iambic pentameter. Since Doctor Faustus is a verse play, refer to act, scene, and line. For all other plays, you will only include the page number.  A one act play would be as follows: (Glaspell 853; act I).

Use a block format for two or more characters or four+ lines of text. You do not need to block one line from one character.
