Develop an original crime prevention program

The submission should include identification of the specific need for the program and a description of how the program will work to address the issue.  Additionally, students will identify and describe all elements of the program providing justification for all decisions and program components. 

Utilizing the extant literature surrounding what works, what doesnt, and whats promising in crime prevention, students will justify the creation of their program.  Students should describe specific primary, secondary and tertiary activities of the program highlighting theoretical justification for program features and evaluative qualities (how will you determine if your program works? time frame? etc.). 

The submission should specifically identify program outcomes and goals, how it will obtain those goals, who it will target, program administration, possible displacement and/or diffusion effects, and how program effectiveness will be evaluated (including a timeline and specific evaluative characteristics). 

Requirements:

1. Papers must be a minimum of 12-15 content pages in length page requirement does not include the title page or references (although they must be included)
2. Double spaced, typed in 12pt Times New Roman font with 1 margins on all sides, contain page numbers
3. APA format should be used both for in-text citations as well as the reference page
4. Incorporate appropriate headings and subheadings
5. Proofread the paper prior to submission for grammatical errors and clarity
6. A minimum of 10 empirical references outside of those specifically assigned as course readings 1 government report may be incorporated; all other references must be from academic/peer-reviewed sources websites such as Wikipedia, anything ending in .org, .edu, etc. will not count towards this requirement
