Food Challenge

In his first book Meditaciones del Quijote (1914) the philosopher Jose Ortega y Gasset stated:

"Yo soy yo y mi circunstancia" or "I am I and my circumstance(s)".

At one level, this is obvious — but — there is something very important in it as well. 

We are NEVER just ourselves — we are always ourselves combined with our surroundings.

Think about being at home in your living room — are you different person there than when you are in the kitchen? 

OR how do the circumstances CHANGE how you see the world and yourself. 

Paragraph 1: The area i have chosen to write about has SEVERAL "food challenges".   The famous philosopher Jose Ortega y Gasset said "Yo soy yo y mi circunstancia" or "I am I and my circumstance(s)".    To me, this statement MEANS  ____________________________.   I agree / disagree with the statement BECAUSE…..  In thinking about food and location, we can see how CIRCUMSTANCES play a big part in the choices that people, including me, make about food everyday.   One memorable SNAPSHOT of this would be_____________________________.
I would describe the food challenge as being MOSTLY one of (too little of any food (not enough calories) OR some food but not enough nutritional value OR too much TEMPTING junk food and not enough good food OR good food but good food supply is "at risk") BECAUSE __________________________________________.

Paragraph 2: First Example (could be food service place (for example, Chicken King) or could be a vibe)

Paragraph 3: Second Example (could be a place or could be a vibe)

Paragraph 4: Third Example  (could be a place or could be a vibe or specific food (The french fries at Fryland are so so super greasy….)

Paragraph 5:  Summary of Examples  – What they tell us about circumstances in the area — What you have learned about HOW circumstances influence you  – What you have learned about HOW circumstances influence other people in area — Do you agree more or agree less with Ortega y Gassett after thinking about how food circumstances influence (food)choices?

NOTE:  This structure is a little bit like that of the five paragraph essay.   The only difference is that we are using it to make a point about a place and to think about philosopical saying.

Please DO include Jose Ortega y Gasset and your thoughts on his saying BUT feel free to modify outline somewhat to meet the needs of your paper.
