Is going to college necessary to be a graphic designer

For each source, go through the following process:

• Create a new document for the particular source.

• At the top of the document, list the bibliographic information you would need to create a Works Cited entry.

• Under the bibliographic content, include information about what makes the author a credible authority about the topic and the particular audience the author appears to be addressing.

• Copy/paste relevant content from the source into the document. Designate each of these as a quote from the source–by putting quote marks around it and/or pasting them under a heading that says, Quote. (Alternatively, you might begin by copying content from the article into a document and then highlighting significant parts.)

• Write annotations following each quoted (or highlighted) section under a heading that says, Annotation. 

• The annotation should summarize (or paraphrase) the content (combined word count of all summaries for the same source should be approximately 100-150 words).

• The annotation should respond to the content in two or more of the following ways (combined word count of all responses to the same source should be approximately 100-150 words).

• Discussion of a rhetorical appeal being made.

• Relation of the content to your research question.

• Brief explanation about why you agree and/or disagree with the content.

• Explanation about how the content leads you to consider new research approaches or additional sources.

• Listing of any questions you have about the content.

4. Use your annotations to write a brief (200-300 word) evaluative summary of each source.

• The summary portion should be in your own words and not include any quotes (other than technical phrasing) from the source. Along with the summary, include your response to the article by referencing content from your annotations about such things as how the source helps to answer your research question, the credibility and authority of the source, and why you do and/or do not find the argument being made to be convincing

5. Place a works cited style reference for each source before its evaluative summary, and order the annotations alphabetically as you would for a works cited page.

6. Revise and edit the annotated bibliography in order to meet the evaluation and submission criteria.
