Questions for Thursday (Teamwork Discussion)

1. Using what you learned in the course readings, what advice would you offer to Laura regarding how to most effectively use both management and leadership skills in her role as associate director? How could she better utilize Kelly and Lindas unique skill sets? Analyze what you see in the case study and explain how it reflects what we learned in the course readings. 

Questions for Sunday (Individual response)

2. Now, on your own, write a short memo to Kelly or Linda in which you outline the changes you would like to see going forward, both on your end and on hers. How might her job description change? How can you articulate your re-organization in a way that will be a source of motivation for your team?

Initial Post for #1 by Thursday

• Please read the materials related to the case study and answer question #1. Reply only to your group.
• Your initial post must be at least 75-100 words. It does not have to be a crafted essay.
• Responses must be respectful and substantial. All posts must conform to college-level writing conventions with correct grammar and spelling as well precise word choice and vocabulary.
• Somewhere in your initial post or at the end of it, ask 2 genuine questions that arose as you examined the case study (so that your peers may reflect on and respond to them, if they wish).

Discussion Responses to Other Posts by Sunday

• In your group, you must choose and respond to (at least) two of your peers discussion posts. Be a critical thinker by expanding on their ideas, answering their questions, synthesizing information, debating, or injecting knowledge.
• Responses must be respectful and substantial. You must make important, relevant, and original contributions to assessing the case study. Be sure to reach out to different peers in each thread so that everyone is included and everyone receives a response.
• All posts must conform to college-level writing conventions with correct grammar and spelling as well precise word choice and vocabulary.
• Respond to any additional comments or questions posted to you at any time from your peers. Please monitor the discussion often and respond to feedback and comments in a prompt manner.
• Respond to any additional questions posted by your instructor to the class as a whole or to you by the end of the module.

Discussion Post for #2 due by or on Sunday

• Important, by or on Sunday, create a 75-100 word post or 2 minute video in which you answer #2 of the discussion questions (without your team). Use some information from the group conversation from question #1 and terminology from your reading materials to inform your answer.
