Write an academic essay of 1500-2000 words on a topic that engages three sources the exhibit ( main focus) is the 1st episode of the HBO series ( the white louts ) and the two conversational texts are ( Hall and Bahbah) provided in the attachments files ( NO OTHER TEXTS ALLOWED),.

a real-world manifestation that is the primary focus of your analysis and centers your claim. By bringing these 2 critical sources to bear on your exhibit ( the white louts), your essay will further this intellectual conversation. We use the metaphor of conversation because you will listen to what other writers are saying (by close reading texts), and acknowledge and consider the meaning of what they say (their projects, including claims, concepts, and questions). Most importantly, you will expand the conversation by adding your own ideas to whats been said (by generating your own observations, problems, and claims based on your exhibit, and how it relates to the conversation you have staged).

 In this essay,  Instead of analyzing an Exhibit in isolation, you will be situating your analysis of an exhibit (a citable, real-world object or text) within a broader Conversation. You will stage a Conversation and use your Exhibit to mediate that dialogue and draw out nuances. In other words, you are using the interaction of multiple sources to analyze an exhibit of your choice.

Goals:

• Continue to work on the goals from the first assignment: 
• in the introduction articulate the Exhibits Project as richly as possible, establish stakes, and identify an intriguing interpretive problem
• through the body maintain a coherent structure by organizing paragraphs around your argument, and by using evidence fairly and persuasively
• formulate a strong claim
• Integrate your Conversation sources with deliberation and purpose.
• Practice ICE: introduce, cite, explain. 
• Document sources using the MLA in-text citation method. 
• Include a works cited page. 
• Use key terms from your Exhibit and your Conversation sources
• Have cohesion and coherence in your prose on the sentence level and on the paragraph level.
• Write a conclusion that leads us to a new understanding of the Exhibits project and of the subject matter. (The conclusion is not a summary of your argument, but rather the new way of talking about the Exhibit and subject that your argument has made possible)
• use the project and stakes as structural aspect of your paper, reflecting the progression of your argument so that they parallel the increasing strength/specificity/richness of your Claim
• Have an interesting and informative title.
