I’m working on a English writing question and need support to help me understand better.

In both David Kirby’s “Inked Well,” and Deborah L. Rhode’s “Why Looks are the Last Bastion of Discrimination,” the authors present ideas about discrimination based on physical appearances and how this  discrimination affects individuals in society. Compare and contrast the essays by considering the following questions about each selection:  What sort of essays are these (argumentative, descriptive, informative, narrative, analytical)?  What are the major similarities and differences between the two essays in terms of content, style, purpose, tone, audience, etc?  Support your claims with evidence from the texts. According to Kirby, “When you get a tattoo, you write yourself, in a manner of speaking, and make it possible for others to read you[…]”  Would Rhode agree with this assertion?   Support your answer with examples from her essay. 

*A successful essay will utilize MLA format and must include at least one quote or paraphrase, with proper citation, from each work.  The essay will be 4-5 pages in length and must address each of my questions in some detail. Any and all claims about these authors and their works must be supported by evidence from their texts.  A works cited page is also required for this assignment.
