Assignment 4: Annotated Bibliography

Please review the PPT Lecture 4 – Annotated Bibliography before starting the annotated bibliography assignment. 

Before sitting down to write your annotations, make sure to do the following:

1)    Familiarize yourself with each one of your books and/or articles

2)    Read as much of the source as possible to understand its content

3)    Make notes on what to include in the annotation

Your annotated bibliography should include the following items:

1)    Full bibliographic information of each book and/or article

2)    Description of the thesis or main ideas of each book/article

3)    Identification of author’s bias or opinion

4)    Reports on author’s use of sources.

Your annotations for each book and/or article should be a paragraph of 100-150 words.

Make sure that each annotation follows these guidelines for tone and language:

1)    Use clear tone

2)    Be concise

3)    Be explicative

4)    Use third person

5)    Use descriptive language

6)    Avoid unnecessary language

This assignment must be typed and submitted electronically in MS Word (.docx or .pdf) format. The file must be named in the following format: Lastname_Assignment4. Submit your completed document to Assignment #4, listed on the Modules and Assignments pages, as a file attachment.
