• Minimum length: 2500 words, including works cited page. (I don’t debate what constitutes “enough.”)
• At least 8 sources, 1 of which must be from your textbook and 2 of which must be peer-reviewed. 
• Sources must be introduced and integrated into the text with both in-text citation and a Works Cited Page
• Must contain a thesis statement to receive a passing grade. 

• Your essay should have an introduction, body, and conclusion. Your introduction should introduce the topic; give a sense of the purpose for writing the essay; present the main argument or thesis; and provide a “map,” or forecast, of the rest of the paper. Each reason will be a new section of your essay and will need its own topic sentence that is developed for that section. Your sections will likely take two to four paragraphs to develop appropriately. 

• The argument is supported with quotations, paraphrased material, and summaries from the texts.
