Using the transcript provided, carry out the qualitative analysis. This should include:

 Description and justification of the approach you took to analysis. If you have chosen thematic

analysis, say why this was selected using sources to support your rationale.

 Describe the actual process of analysis – try not to rephrase generic ideas from textbooks,

instead try to provide examples from your own experiences of analysing the data.

 Present part of your analysis of the material using quotations to support your analysis. It is

absolutely fine to present say one or two themes in some depth rather than the whole of your

analysis.

 Critically discuss how your own experiences or perspective played into your analysis (please

think here about reflexivity).

 Produce a Harvard reference list of supporting academic information.

The word count can be restrictive and so ensure that your description and rationale is clear and

succinct. Also, do provide supplementary materials in an appendix to show detailed processes of the

analysis. This may include the process of coding or theme development.
