environmental crisis

In your first essay, you thought about things you might do in your own life to address the environmental crisis. For this essay, I want you to think about what others are doing. As we discussed in class, back in 2015/16, Chapter 5 of Laudato Si and Chapters 1 and 2 of Climate of Hope both discuss some concrete things that could be done to help the planet; more recently, COP 26 and Build Back Better have also offered some solutions. In this essay, choose one solution from each book, as well as one from either COP 26 or the BBB plan. For the former, you will need to refer back to the class readings and be prepared to cite specific examples; for the latter, you will need to do some internet research—be prepared to cite any sources you consult! In the essay, compare and contrast the suggestions offered to combat the environmental crisis, and be prepared to say which of the ones you look at seems the most effective.
