Hello ,
I need assitance writing a paper ( interview style) for stroke patient . Lived experience. See intructions below. I have included references . I prefer someone who is familiar with writing nursing papers.
Conduct an interview with a person who is not an immediate familymember or a close friend, that is willing to share their lived experience withyou, regarding a personally meaningful experience that relates to health careand/or nursing in some significant way.
Students should select a topic of interest, and communicate this topicto the interviewee, as part of the informed consent process, so that theinterviewee knows what the topic of the interview will be.
Describe the interview process to the interviewee, and the need toaudio-record the interview for academic learning purposes only. Assure theindividual that the audio tape will be destroyed when you have completed theassignment.
Arrange for a mutual time and location, in the interest of privacyand ease of communication. Avoid the workplace, coffee shop or public settings.
Select a topic that you have reason tobelieve the participant has personal knowledge and experience. Some examples include:
o Giving birth
o Death of a family member or significant other
o Losing a job
o Living with a chronic illness
o Coping with a new diagnosis
o Experiencing a natural or man-made disaster
o Hospitalization, rehabilitation, or recovery
o Trauma or Crisis
o Being a victim of a violent crime, or witnessing another beingvictimized by a violent crime
Developa set of reflective questions to guide/prompt the interviewee to shareexperiences that relate to the research question(s) you have formulated for theinterview topic. Some examples include:
Can you share what it was like when.?
What happened then?
Can you tell me more about your experience with?
How did you cope with?
Can you describe the most challenging or rewarding part of thisexperience?
What did you learn through this experience?
How do you feel nurses or other members of the health care teamcan benefit from your experiences?
Do notdevelop a questionnaire or a set of directivequestionsallow the participants to describe their experiences in their ownwords.
The interview should last approximately 45-60 minutes.
Thank the individual for being willing to share their story withyou.
Listen to the audio recording and make notes about what you hear.
Write a paper that describes the interview process:
All identifying information must be omitted from the paper.
What was it like to listen intently to another person share theirstory?
Include some representative samples of the participants responsesduring the interview (Do not include a complete transcript of the interview).
Describe new insights you gained about the topic of the interview
Analyze what you learned about the interview process
See grading rubric
Papers should be clear and conciseand should be 10-12 pages, not including title and reference pages.
