Title: Can We Create New Senses for Humans?
Publisher: TED Talk
Date Viewed: May 20, 2020
Length of TED Talk: 20:34 minutes
Description: As humans, we can perceive less than a ten-trillionth of all light waves. “Our experience of reality,” says neuroscientist David Eagleman, “is constrained by our biology.” He wants to change that. His research into our brain processes has led him to create new interfaces — such as a sensory vest — to take in previously unseen information about the world around us.

You will be viewing a TED Talk on any topic related to this course and writing a 3-page paper on your listening experience. Just make double sure that the TED Talk covers topics related to physiology, neurology, hormones, genetics (etc.) insofar as those biological mechanisms affect human behavior. If the TED Talk does not have a biological component, do not do it. You will not receive any credit. If in doubt, share the topic with the professor ahead of time.
