The purpose of the assignment is to evaluate your understanding on the principles, techniques, protocols and technologies that underpin IoT. You have to develop appropriate responses to the (maximum any three per unit) End of the Unit activities from unit 1 to unit 6 and present them in the form of a reflective report divided into six chapters, one for each unit. Each chapter should have organised response to the activities at the end of the relevant unit and each activity should have clear title and the activity number. Your response should be evidenced by appropriate citations/sources and your reflective summary wherever possible. Your response should be articulated clearly addressing exactly the points which are being asked in the relevant activity. You also need to participate and contribute significantly in all the discussion forums for the relevant activity. This includes discussion initiatives and exchange of knowledge on the discussion forums. Your contribution in the discussion forums should be documented professionally in the appendix of the reflective report. All the sources cited in your reflective report must be included in the list of references using Harvard style. The number of words 3000 is for guidelines and you can go 10% up or down the word count limit. Each activity carries equal marks. The evidence of participation in the discussion forum documented in the appendix is not counted in the word count of 3000 words.

The reflective report needs to written as a first person’s account. It should highlight your personal experiences with specific technology/topic, what did you learn, what did you do or feel, and if there were any outcomes of your personal experiences. For each activity, the writeup may be different. i.e. there might be some topics for which you will have experience using them and for others it might be a research you might have carried out.

The report should have a title page, an Introduction in which you will state the main objectives of the report. This will be followed by 6 sections (one each for units). Each unit/section should then contain answers to the unit activities and a summary of your personal reflection on these activities/topics. There is a maximum of 3 activities you can present in each section. It might be that for one unit, you present 3 activities, for another you just present one and so on. Please make sure that you don’t have a single activity for all the units, it should be a mixture of 3, 2, or 1 activities per unit.

You are expected to do both. i.e. answering the questions asked in the activity as well as a reflection of that particular topic/technology. A format that could be followed is to answer the question first and then write a paragraph or two on the reflection.
