After viewing Unforgivable Blackness, critically reflect on the film in written form. Briefly summarize the key points of the film, giving special attention to Jack Johnson’s sporting feats as well as the cultural implications of those feats. Then, connect Jack Johnson’s life to more modern day versions. In order to do this, you will need to utilize outside research – including your texts – to make parallels between Jack Johnson’s life and two sporting individuals with similar experiences.
