Utilizing the video for this week and any other reference material necessary, detail, in a 4-5 page double-spaced APA formatted paper, the Mintzberg Model for CEOs as you have witnessed it at your place of employment. For example, you can pick a manager (providing an ‘alias’ for the person might not be a bad idea) you know well and detail how s/he has/has not practiced (whether properly or improperly) initiating elements of Mintzberg’s model. If the manager you choose as your focal point implements other management ideals, identify those where you see fit. Also, at the end of your paper, provide a brief analysis (as part of your summation) of your view on the overall effectiveness of the manager’s management and leadership style, why it does or does not work (is or is not routinely productive), and what (if any) recommendations you would make to improve the manager’s style.
