ADV4642 – AD GAME FINAL // PROJECT BRIEF
You are now the advergame strategist for the ad-game campaign that your brand want you to prepare. Hooray (!) But what of it? They gave you a brief for the project and expect you to follow it:
You are asked to deliver an advergame or an in-game advertisement for a client (of your choice) which utilizes gamification motivation drives. The project should carry out a brand message related to the client of your choice (such as implementing the message for Toyota cars: “The new car is going to be fully customizable during use”) through the use of game mechanics via the project.
Firstly, you are expected to decide on a brand and a brand message by yourself while designing the project. BUT do not forget that you should carefully consider your target audience while preparing the advergames or in-game advertisement. It is expected of you to decide on geo-targeting strategy according to the target audience of your brand.
Secondly, you are expected to work alone as the projects are going to be graded individually. It is OK to ask for some help from your friends but you alone will be responsible for your project only.
Thirdly, you are going to deliver a report document on the description of your project. Please read the expected document content below carefully. Any missing info on your report would decrease your grade. Using visuals are encouraged while explaining your ideas.
The report must include:
1- The brand name and the field of work of the brand (for ex: “Coca-Cola / Bewerage”)
2- Description of its target audience,
3- The message that is conveyed (if any) through your campaign,
4- The reason for either preparing and advergame or and in-game ad for the brand,
5- Which kind of an in-game ad or advergame is going to be used for the brand and why,
6- Where the advergames or in-game ad will be published (which platform and which kind of a game),
7- A summary of the game mechanics (formal & dramatic) related to the game,
8- A summary of the game and its play, as well as how this play would fit your brand
9- Which motivational drives (from the 8 core drives) that you chose to create the project and embed the game mechanics with the advertisement, and how
10- If you decide to use influencer marketing for promoting the ad game, which category of influencers would you choose and why?
The document format is up to you. You can deliver PDF’s and/or presentation files via the system (Just don’t forget that the project report document should be including relevant visuals for explaining yourself to get the best grade)
