Welcome to our final week together – Week 8!

Last week, we examined gun control legislation and problem solving within the court system. This week we will look at the intricacies of the very complex juvenile court system. We will compare the juvenile court system to the adult court system and determine if the current juvenile system is effective or needs improvement, including, but not limited to, a complete overhaul.

Please look at the study materials under the Path as there is a lot of material to prepare for this week’s assignments.

This week’s final assignment is worth 130 points which is far more than 90-point assignments from previous weeks. So, here are some tips to do well on this week’s assignment:

Read the imbedded comments from previous week’s assignments.
Use the APA template in the Student Resource Center as a guide.
Keep the paragraph lengths to 4-6 sentences.
Stay away from using conversational English and focus more on an academic tone.
Use proper level headings to separate main concepts in the paper
Use the proper citation styles for one or more authors
Make sure the Running Head is properly formatted.
Make sure the thesis projects the direction and sets a roadmap for the paper.
Make sure the conclusion summarizes the key points throughout the paper and conclusively ties back to the thesis.
Cite any fact, idea, concept, etc. that is not original to you.
